RN (Scout) Summer Camp

The Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scouts' Summer Camp is one of the 'Big4+' events run especially for the Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scouts.  Scouts can choose either a mix of activities or one of our water activities courses.  Adults and Explorers can join in the fun in one of the activities or support teams.

Activities camp

Most Scouts take part in the activities camp which includes: dinghy sailing; yacht sailing; kayaking; power boating; physical activities; a day hike on the South Downs; military drill (just some basics); and other team building activities.

Water activities courses
Alongside the activities camp we run RYA and BCU courses for dinghy sailing (beginners), kayaking (beginners) and power boating (minimum age 13½).

Please do not apply for these courses if you already have water activities qualifications above an introductory level.

This year the camp will run from 12.00 pm Saturday xx May to mid-morning Saturday xx May.
It is based on board HMS BRISTOL in Portsmouth Harbour so Scouts must be at least 12 years old by the start of the camp.
